Silicone defoaming agents are widely used in textile printing and dyeing. Why are silicone defoaming agents used in textile printing and dyeing?

     The textile printing and dyeing industry is a production process involving multiple links, including slurry preparation, printing, dyeing, and finishing. During these processes, bubbles are sometimes generated, affecting production efficiency and product quality. Therefore, silicone defoaming agents are widely used in the textile printing and dyeing industry.

Why does it bubble during textile production?
     First, foam production occurs during the slurry sizing process and the high-speed movement of the yarn. This is because during the sizing process, the slurry and yarns will rub against each other to create static electricity, which will attract moisture in the air to form foam. Furthermore, as the yarn moves at high speed, the foam will move along with the fabric, resulting in an increase in the amount of foam.

     Secondly, some chemicals used during the pretreatment process can also lead to the creation of foam. For example, desizing agents, bleaching detergents and detergents will be cooked at high temperature when permeating the fabric, which will make the fabric fragile and easily foamy.

     In addition, during medium-temperature dyeing and high-temperature dyeing, vibrations of mechanical operation will also lead to the generation of foam. This is because the high-speed operation of the dyeing machinery will cause friction and vibration, making it difficult for the foam to stabilize.

     Finally, foam will also occur during the slurry mixing process and the color paste during the stirring process. This is because during the slurry adjustment and printing process, the amount of foam will increase due to the influence of mechanical operations and chemical reactions.
