Hydroxysilicone oil is a linear polydimethylsiloxane with hydroxyl end groups, which is an oily liquid. It has the characteristics of methyl silicone oil, such as colorless, transparent, odorless, and tasteless. Hydroxy silicone oil is soluble in organic solvents such as carbon tetrachloride, benzene, chloroform, ether, and toluene, but insoluble in water and ethanol. Low viscosity hydroxyl silicone oil has a certain solubility in water. The structural formula of hydroxy silicone oil is HO [(CH3) 2SiO] nH, where the methyl group is the side group and capped with a hydroxyl group. The molecular weight and viscosity of hydroxyl silicone oil can be adjusted as needed to meet different application requirements.
