Room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber generally includes two categories: condensation type and addition type. Additive room temperature adhesive is based on linear polydimethylsiloxane with vinyl groups as the base adhesive, and uses hydrogen containing siloxane as the crosslinking agent. It undergoes crosslinking reaction in the presence of a catalyst at room temperature to medium temperature to become an elastomer. It has good heat resistance, hydrophobicity, and electrical insulation properties. At the same time, due to the introduction of active end groups, it has excellent physical and mechanical properties, especially in terms of tensile strength, relative elongation, and tear strength, which have been significantly improved. It is suitable for various vulcanization methods, such as radiation vulcanization, peroxide vulcanization, and addition vulcanization, and is widely used in heat resistance, moisture resistance, electrical insulation, high-strength silicone rubber products, and other fields.

Condensation type room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber is characterized by the condensation reaction between silicon hydroxyl groups and other active substances, which can crosslink into elastomers at room temperature. The product is divided into two forms: single component packaging and two-component packaging. One component room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber (RTV-1 rubber) is one of the main products in condensed liquid silicone rubber. It is usually formulated from basic polymers, crosslinking agents, catalysts, fillers, and additives. The product is packaged in a sealed hose, extruded during use, and can self vulcanize into an elastic material upon contact with air, making it extremely convenient to use. Vulcanized rubber can be used for a long time in the temperature range of (-60~+200 ℃), with excellent electrical insulation performance and chemical stability. It is resistant to water, ozone, and weather aging, and has good adhesion to various metal and non-metal materials. Mainly used for coating various electronic components and electrical equipment, as well as encapsulation materials for insulation, moisture resistance, and shock resistance; As a surface protective material for semiconductor devices; It can also be used as a sealing filler and elastic adhesive.
