Silicone rubber is mainly an elastomer formed by vulcanization under certain conditions with various kinds of high molecular weight siloxanes, mixed with fillers and additives. According to the different vulcanization methods and conditions, it can be divided into hot vulcanized silicone rubber (HTV) and room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber (RTV) two categories.


HTV rubber application field is large, the demand is wide, the most common basic polymer is polymethylvinylsiloxane, which has good electrical insulation, water resistance, impact resistance, vibration resistance and other properties. The products are widely used in key, sealing ring, extrusion pipe, rubber roller, gasket, conductive black particle, anode cap, wire and cable, insulator, self-lubricating seal, heat resistance, fire prevention, sports equipment and medical care and other industries.


RTV rubber base polymer is usually low molar mass hydroxy-terminated polydimethylsiloxane or polymethylvinylsiloxane, RTV rubber can be generally divided into one component and two components of two types, in which the mechanical properties of high silicone rubber with low shrinkage, no byproducts and other advantages, often used in the field of molding; Low mechanical properties, almost no functional fillers, excellent transparency, electrical properties, weather aging resistance, etc., widely used in medical health, electronics industry and other fields.


Silicone rubber is usually added to various fillers and additives, such as adding carbon black and gas silicon to strengthen the product, adding antioxidants to prevent too fast aging. All kinds of different filler additives are added to silicone rubber in the appropriate proportion, which can improve the various properties of silicone rubber and meet the different production and use needs.
