At present, there are a variety of potting materials used in electronic components, mainly polyurethane materials, epoxy resin materials and silicone materials. Among them, the most used is the potting glue of silicone material, which is widely used because of its excellent characteristics.


Silicone polymer materials have unique weather resistance, aging resistance, excellent high and low temperature resistance, good hydrophobic mechanical properties, electrical insulation and so on because of the special silicon-oxygen bond main chain structure, so it is widely used in electronic and electrical components potting protection.


Silicone characteristics 1) has excellent resistance to high and low temperatures, cured silicone pot-sealing adhesive, even under the cold and thermal shock between -60 ° C and 200 ° C, still maintains elasticity. 2) No heat absorption, no heat release, no shrinkage after curing, will not have any impact on electronic components, and good bonding performance. 3) With excellent electrical and insulation properties, no corrosion to the material. 4) Strong thermal conductivity, effectively improve the heat dissipation capacity of electronic products. 5) Can be cured at room temperature, can also be heated curing, easy to operate. Common two-component silicone rubber pot-sealing adhesive is composed of end vinyl silicone oil as the base adhesive, hydrogen-containing silicone oil as the crosslinking agent, and aluminum oxide (AI2O3) as the thermal conductive filler. Methylacryloxy propyl trimethoxysilane (KH570) can be added as the coupling agent and platinum catalyst (PL-2600) as the catalyst. Silicone gel material because of its excellent temperature resistance, waterproof, electrical insulation properties, colorless transparent, not easy to yellowed and other characteristics, become the field of electronic devices (such as LED display, IGBT packaging, etc.) indispensable sealing materials.
