Mold silica gel is composed of liquid silica gel and curing agent two parts, because the liquid silica gel mold is divided into condensation type industrial grade mold silica gel and molding food grade mold silica gel, the curing body of the two liquid silica gel is completely different, so the curing agent composition they contain is not the same.


Condensed industrial-grade mold silica gel relies on moisture in the air to cure, and the curing agent it matches is organic tin curing agent, with pungent odor, which is a heavy metal and not environmentally friendly material with mild toxicity. When the organotin curing agent and condensed industrial-grade mold silicone come into contact with each other, the tin element molecules and the water in the silicone and the water in the air will carry off the polymerization reaction, and the chain will be generated between the organosilicon molecules, accelerating the curing of the liquid silicone. The proportion of silica gel curing agent added to the condensed industrial mold has a prescribed reasonable range, and the proportion of organic tin curing agent added can not exceed 4%. The addition of less curing agent will produce non-curing, and the addition of more silicone oil and performance decline and other adverse conditions.


The liquid silicone gel is the platinum catalyst, and the platinum catalyst is an environmentally friendly, non-toxic and tasteless material, which has no harm to the human body. Therefore, the additive molding food grade silicone is widely used in the production of food silicone molds, environmental protection, non-toxic and harmless. Platinum catalyst is an extremely sensitive and active substance, it can not contain nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur, lead, mercury, tin and other heavy metal toxic substances in contact with each other, once the contact will be contaminated, resulting in a decline in the performance of platinum catalyst, directly affecting the solidification of food-grade mold silicone liquid silicone. Platinum catalyst is dependent on the temperature and silica gel to produce addition reaction, the higher the temperature added molding silicone curing agent the faster, the lower the temperature the slower the curing. If the temperature is below 10 degrees, the molding liquid silicone will be difficult to cure, even after curing, the silicone surface will be sticky.
