1. Industrial applications
The silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive tape is widely used in industrial production in the form of splicing tape, electrical tape, plasma spraying tape, machining tape, etc. because of its good high and low temperature resistance, chemical resistance and low dielectric properties, and its ability to bond low surface energy surfaces. The surface of many substrates is difficult to bond, such as polyester, polyimide and polytetrafluoroethylene. Before the application of pressure-sensitive adhesive, the substrate surface needs to be treated by chemical, electrical or plasma methods or a layer of primer is coated on the substrate surface to make the silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive bond with the substrate more firmly.

2. Applications in Electronics
In electronics, silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive and its tape are generally used in the production and assembly of printed circuit boards (PCB). This requires pressure-sensitive adhesive not only to withstand high temperature (270 ℃ for a short time), bonding wet low surface energy interface, but also to have low dielectric properties. The silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive is also widely used in the protective coatings of electronic components. These protective coatings are composed of multi-layer structures, and each layer endows the protective coatings with unique properties.
With the increasing demand for silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive in many industries, people will pay more and more attention to basic theoretical research, research and development and utilization of new silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive. In the future, efforts should be continued to develop high solid content and solvent-free silicone pressure-sensitive adhesives, optimize the production process, reduce costs, expand the application field, and make the pressure-sensitive adhesive industry develop rapidly towards a more environmentally friendly and better performance direction.
