The silicone pressure sensitive adhesive mainly has the following types, including solvent type, high solid content type, solvent-free type, hot-melt type and lotion type silicone pressure sensitive adhesive.

1. Dissolved silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive
The solvent silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive is the most developed, which can meet many practical needs and has excellent performance. The solvents used are toluene, xylene and petroleum ether. Although the performance of solvent based silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive is excellent, its further development is limited due to its low solid content, the need to use a lot of solvents, consuming a lot of raw materials and energy and causing environmental pollution.

2. High solid gold type and insoluble silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive
In order to meet the requirements of environmental protection and reduce the use and emission of volatile organic compounds (VOC) that pollute the air, high solid content and solvent-free silicone pressure-sensitive adhesives are gradually developed. The remarkable advantage of high solid content system is that it only requires a small amount of or no solvent dilution, has extensive performance, is easy to mix, and requires simple production equipment. It can also be well coated and cured on the traditional low solid content adhesive coater, and is convenient to handle and store.

3. Hot melt silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive
The advantages of hot-melt silicone pressure sensitive adhesive are: no organic solvent, safety, environmental protection, convenient construction, and can be coated with traditional equipment, low cost, no pollution.

4. Lotion silicone pressure sensitive adhesive
There are few reports on pure lotion silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive, because organic surfactant needs to be added when preparing silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive lotion, which will have adverse effects on many properties of pressure-sensitive adhesive.
