1, what is mixing? What is its purpose and meaning?
In the rubber mixing will be added to the rubber mixing agent made of rubber mixing process is called mixing.
The purpose of mixing is to make the compound evenly dispersed in the raw rubber to produce a uniform mixture of rubber, while making the rubber material has appropriate plasticity to ensure smooth processing.
The mixing process has a very important effect on the properties of the compound. Mixing is not good, the glue will appear with the dispersion of the agent is not uniform, the plasticity of the glue is too high or too low, coke, frost spraying and other phenomena, which will not only make the calendering, pressing, forming and vulcanization process can not be normal, but also lead to the performance of the finished product decline, and even cause the early scrap of the product. Therefore, mixing is one of the important processes in rubber processing.
2. What are the methods of mixing operation and what are their characteristics?
Mixing operation refers to the whole process of plasticizing raw rubber, adding various coordination agents in sequence, reaching uniform dispersion through plasticizing, and then cooling and parking until the sheet. That is, the process of preparing glue from various raw materials.
According to the different equipment used, the mixing operation can be separated into mixer mixing and dense mixer mixing.
Opening mixer mixing is the oldest method in rubber industry. Compared with dense mixer, its disadvantages are low production efficiency, high labor intensity, unsafe and environmental pollution, and low quality of rubber material. The advantage is that opening mixer is more flexible, suitable for the production and processing of small factory scale, less batch of rubber material and more varieties. It is especially suitable for the mixing of sponge rubber, hard rubber and synthetic rubber (such as butanol).
Mixer mixing is carried out under high temperature and pressure in a closed chamber. Compared with open smelting, the mixer has large capacity, short mixing time, high efficiency, easy mechanization and automation of mixing, discharging and feeding, low labor intensity, safe operation, small loss of drug flying, good quality of rubber material and environmental health conditions. However, the high temperature of the mixing chamber limits the mixing of temperature-sensitive rubber materials, which is not suitable for the mixing of light-colored products and rubber materials with frequent variety changes. In addition, the shape of the mixed rubber materials is irregular, which needs to be supplemented by the tablet press.
