Liquid silica gel English referred to as LSR, is a kind of products can be favored by consumers and manufacturers, liquid silica gel is made of silica gel products, has good elasticity and waterproof and moisture-proof, acid, alkali and other chemical erosion, so it is generally used to replace life plastic supplies.

Liquid Silicone Rubber is divided into A and B, and the ratio of 1:1 is controlled by A quantitative device. Then the Liquid Silicone Rubber is fully mixed through A Static Mixer, and injected into the injection material pipe for injection molding production.

Properties of liquid silica gel

Liquid Silicone Rubber is a non-toxic, heat-resistant and flexible thermosetting material with high resilience. Its rheological behavior is mainly characterized by low viscosity, rapid curing, shear thinning and high thermal expansion coefficient.

LSR is a double liquid rapid sulfurization material with platinum as catalyst, which can be produced by injection molding, large amount, rapid sulfurization and repeatable machinery. Its products show good thermal stability, cold resistance, excellent electrical insulation performance, combustion will not produce toxic substances.

Therefore, it is an irreplaceable material in the production and design of health products, automobiles, baby products, medical supplies, diving supplies, kitchen appliances and seals.

Molding process

LSR is A two-component liquid material, which is divided into component A and component B. The mixer works to fully mix component A and component B in an exact 1:1 ratio. And because some products are colored design, so equipped with color pump and color measurement part. A+B components, additives, colors, etc. are fully mixed into the plasticizing system.

The plasticizing screw has the function of homogenizing and mixing at the same time. The mixture is injected into the hot mold through the screw, and the curing reaction of silica gel occurs at the mold temperature of 170 ~ 200℃. When using a cold runner system, it is important to note that the runner is sufficiently cold. In order to avoid glue leakage, the needle valve is installed on the surface of the mold parts, and the needle valve closes the nozzle immediately when the glue is finished.
