With the popularity of smart devices, the development of wearable medical devices is also in the ascendant. These devices are primarily used to monitor patients' physical conditions in real time, so they need to be as flexible and electrically conductive as possible.
Currently, single-walled carbon nanotubes have been used to cover all types of existing silicone rubber, including liquid silicone, RT-VULcanized silicone and high-temperature vulcanized silicone, to achieve all levels of electrical conductivity required, from antistatic to electromagnetic interference shielding.
Conductive particles commonly used in conductive silicone rubber are mainly divided into the following three categories:
(1) Carbon materials: mainly including carbon black, graphite, carbon fiber, carbon nanotubes and graphene.
(2) Pure metal particles: gold powder, silver powder, copper powder, nickel powder and aluminum powder, etc.
(3) Composite conductive particles: silver plated copper, silver plated nickel, silver plated aluminum, nickel plated graphite, silver plated glass beads, etc.
These conductive particles have the characteristics of good electrical conductivity, easy to fill, easy to disperse, aging resistance, moderate cost, if necessary, these conductive particles can be further surface treatment. Different conductive particles, different filling amount, the conductive properties of the conductive silicone rubber prepared are different, so what kind of conductive particles should be selected, according to the conductive properties to be determined, but also two or more conductive particles can be mixed.
