Resistance to bending fatigue: the bending fatigue resistance of silicone rubber is not better than that of organic rubber. Measures must be taken to develop varieties with 8~10 times fatigue resistance, such as KE951-U, 9510-U, 9511-U, 5152-U, etc. Used in keyboard, conveyor parts, etc.
Strength: at room temperature, the strength of silicone rubber is lower than that of organic rubber, but the strength retention rate is higher at high temperature, and the strength is better than that of organic rubber. The tear strength of silicone rubber is low. Only by improving the synthesis process of basic rubber and the filling agent and crosslinking agent of mixed rubber, can the tear strength of 30-50 kN/m high strength products be prepared, which is suitable for the use of reverse cone mold and forming materials of large forming products.
(6) silicone rubber has flame retardant properties.
Ordinary silicone rubber does not burn easily. Once it is ignited, it will burn up and finally become white silicon dioxide. If a small amount of flame retardant (such as platinum complex) is added to the silicone rubber, the flame retardant and self-extinguishing silicone rubber can be prepared. Grade UL94V-0 silicone rubber, because it contains no halogen compounds, produces almost no smoke and toxic gases. (7) silicone rubber has permeability and physiological inertia.
