The material properties of liquid silica gel can be used in any place, such as your car, house, hospital. With its incredible versatility, such as heat resistance, low compression set, thermal conductivity, chemical inertness, hydrophobicity and biocompatibility (and more), the potential applications of liquid silica gel are unlimited, and we are just beginning to explore its possibilities.
Because liquid silica gel is composed of silicon, which is the second most common element in the earth's crust, liquid silica gel is not only widely used, but also derived from its highly sustainable resources.
Liquid silica gel is a molecule formed by basic oxygen silica framework
CH3 CH3 CH3 CH3 CH3
-Si-0-Si-0 -Si-0 -Si-0-Si-0-
CH3 CH3 | R | CH3 CH3
Although some properties will remain unchanged for all liquid silica gel, the material can be customized to meet specific functions or requirements by changing the side group [R] of some structures (in this case CH3). Therefore, there can be many different liquid silica materials, each with different characteristics. The temperature range of liquid silica gel is wide. In its pure state, they will remain stable at - 50 ℃.
If the stabilizer is added, the liquid silica gel material can be stable at up to 250 ℃, and the low temperature flexibility of - 90 ℃ can be achieved by using special compounds. Liquid silica gel is naturally transparent, but can be easily colored by ordinary pigments. They have excellent chemical and oil resistance, are very stable, and are highly resistant to oxidation, light, ultraviolet and X-rays.
Liquid silica gel is a high resilience material with good elongation and compression ratio. When the material is compressed, it will produce equal reaction force, and the force will not change with time, so the material is very suitable for seals and gaskets. The liquid silica gel is formed by network crosslinking, which can prevent creep or stress relaxation.
