All silica gel products must be molded before they are manufactured. Only through the mold can new products be developed.

Sample mold is also known as hand plate mold. When customers confirm to cooperate with us to make samples, we first need customers to provide samples or 2D or 3D drawings. If the customer provides a template, we will copy the number according to the template and get the 3D map. It would be more convenient if the customer provided 3D maps. Our model builder would program the model according to the 3D maps provided by the customer. Usually, the first step is to make a sample and proofing for customers to confirm, and then to open a large model for production when the customers confirm that there is no problem.
Sample moulds generally open from 1 to 2 holes, and when the sample needs more, our sample moulds will open 4 holes. The sample mold serves as a confirmation of the original sample, which converts the drawings into physical objects. Because of the elasticity of silica gel, the physical products produced do not necessarily coincide with the drawings. At this time, we only have to open a sample model and punch the sample out for confirmation. If there is a problem with the sample mould, it is relatively simple to modify the mould at this time, with short modification time and high efficiency. Every time the mould is opened, the repairing must confirm the product through proofing, that is to say, confirm the mould. When the product is developed to meet the customer's requirements, this mold will be confirmed.
Sample moulds of general companies are made of steel. The size of the template is determined by the size of the product. Usually, the length * width * height is 300 mm * 300 mm * 30 mm.
The manufacturing time of the sample mould is determined by the structure complexity of the product. Usually a relatively simple product takes about 2-3 days from programming to processing; a complex product takes about 5-7 days. The more complex the product structure, the longer the opening time.
Firstly, the number of holes in the sample mould is less, the use of template is less, and the processing time is short, so the cost is relatively small and the efficiency is high. Secondly, the opening of the sample mould can bring some other benefits. For example, even if the product structure is not confirmed for the first time, it is more convenient to modify the mould. After the modification, the proofing can be confirmed immediately, thus shortening the time. Third, because of the low cost, opening the sample mould first can reduce the risk. If the mould is opened directly and the sample can not be confirmed for the first time, there will be many quality problems when the modified mould is used to produce the product. In this case, the more repaired the mould, the worse it will be, and the worse it will be, the worse it will be for production. So opening a sample mold can achieve the purpose of first confirming the product, confirming that there is no problem, on a one-time large scale, so that the products produced will have few quality problems.
