Biguanide and quaternary ammonium disinfectants

Since these compounds can change the permeability of bacterial cell membranes, they are often compounded with other disinfectants to increase their bactericidal effect and speed. Quaternary ammonium disinfectants have a history of nearly 100 years since their development:
The first-generation quaternary ammonium disinfectant was benzalkonium bromide (Xin Jie Erfen);
The second-generation quaternary ammonium salt disinfectant is to add alkyl or chlorine substituents on the molecular structure of Xinjieer;
The third-generation quaternary ammonium disinfectant is a mixture of the first and second generation;
The fourth-generation quaternary ammonium salt disinfectant is a tetraalkyl quaternary ammonium salt solution developed in recent years;
The fifth generation quaternary ammonium salt disinfectant is a quaternary ammonium salt with a double long chain alkyl. The carbon chain of the double-long-chain alkyl quaternary ammonium salt has a moderate chain length, which not only avoids the shortcomings of the single-long-chain alkyl sterilization ability, but also overcomes the shortcomings of the double-chain carbon chain and the poor water solubility. Adding synergists can also improve the adaptability of di-long chain alkyl quaternary ammonium salt disinfectants to external conditions such as organics, hard water, and pH.
