Precautions for making silicone mold

A. (B potion) generally refers to the catalyst, also known as curing agent. When not in use, the lid needs to be closed, and it is susceptible to moisture vapor.

B. Silica gel and curing agent are a kind of product that will be produced after chemical projection. The chemical reaction will rise as soon as the chemical reaction starts. There is no way to prevent it. To avoid wasting silica gel, you must take a proper amount of it. It should be used immediately after being prepared without delay.

C. The mixing ratio of silica gel and curing agent is related to the speed of chemical reaction and the performance life of the mold itself. The faster and more curing agent is added, the faster the solid silica gel is formed, and the strength and hardness of its products also increase, but it is also easy. Toughness is reduced, and the number of mold turns will be reduced.

D. The silica gel should be stirred well before preparation and weighed.

E. The pouring method is suitable for relief type, and the brushing method is suitable for making three-dimensional mold. For casting molds of relief type, a frame of 4-6CM in length and width, which is larger than the length and width of the original carving, should be made first. The border should be flat and the inside should be smooth. When pouring, place the frame on a clean glass plate, and then place the prototype in the frame, leaving a gap of 2-3CM on each side.
