5. Demoulding
The vulcanized liquid silicone rubber is easy to adhere to the surface of the metal, and the flexibility of the product will make it difficult to demold. The high-temperature tear strength possessed by LSR enables it to be demolded under normal conditions, and even larger products will not be damaged. The most common demolding techniques include demoulding, demolding, and pneumatic demolding. Other common technologies are roller scraper molds, lead plate stripping, and automatic dies.
When using a demolding system, it must be kept within a high accuracy range. If the clearance between the ejector pin and the guide pin sleeve is too large, or the clearance between the parts is increased due to prolonged wear, it may cause glue overflow. The inverted cone or mushroom-shaped top pin works very well because it allows greater contact pressure to be used to improve the seal.
