Application of silicone potting compound in automotive electronics
Silicone applications in automotive electronics include: bonding and sealing agents, potting compounds, gels, insulating coatings, thermal adhesives and other materials. These materials are used to protect engine control modules, ignition coils and ignition modules, powertrain modules, brake system modules, exhaust emission control modules, power systems, lighting systems, various sensors, connectors, and the like.

 Silicone potting materials are widely used in devices such as wiper controllers and power system modules. Potting of HID (High Intensity Discharge) lamp modules is a typical application. The HID module contains the igniter and converter. The potting compound used must have good bonding performance and excellent dielectric properties, be dust-proof and water-proof, and have sufficient insulation protection; the potting glue must be soft and prevent the solder joint from falling off; The module contains some heating elements inside, so the potting glue needs to have a certain heat conduction.
 With the continuous development of high-end industries, the stability and durability of equipment in the automotive industry are used, and the impact of environmental factors (moisture, salt spray, dust, vibration, heat, etc.) on the equipment is eliminated, resulting in reliability of the equipment. Lowering, more stringent requirements are imposed on silicone materials.
