The use of fumed silica can be divided into silicone materials and other fields. The amount of fumed silica in the silicone material accounts for nearly 60% of the total amount of fumed silica. Silicone rubber is the most used fumed silica in silicone materials. , Its added amount can be as high as 50% or more. Fumed silica mainly plays a reinforcing role in HVT silicone rubber. Since the molecular chain of silicone rubber is very pliable and the interaction force between the chains is weak, the strength of unreinforced silicone rubber is very low (not exceeding 0.4 MPa). The use value can only be applied after being reinforced, and the strength of silicone rubber reinforced with fumed silica can be increased up to 40 times.
