Phenyl silicone rubber is a special silicone rubber modified by introducing phenyl groups into the siloxane molecular chain. Its molecular structure significantly improves its flexibility and sealing stability in low-temperature environments. In industrial refrigerators, sealing materials need to be exposed to extreme low temperatures ranging from -40 ℃ to -60 ℃ for a long time. The molecular chain segments of ordinary silicone rubber are prone to hardening due to crystallization at low temperatures, leading to seal failure; The rigid structure of the phenyl group can effectively suppress the ordered arrangement of molecular chains, allowing the material to maintain high elasticity below -80 ℃, avoiding brittle fracture or shrinkage deformation.

The compression permanent deformation rate of phenyl silicone rubber can be controlled within 5% (ordinary silicone rubber is about 15%), even if the refrigerator door is frequently opened and closed or under long-term pressure, it can still tightly fit the gap, preventing cold air leakage and energy consumption increase. In addition, the phenyl structure endows it with stronger resistance to ozone and ultraviolet aging, and when combined with a non precipitating formula (to avoid surface powdering), it can ensure that the sealing strip can be used continuously for more than 10 years under complex working conditions such as moisture and oil stains.

In industrial refrigerators, phenyl silicone rubber is mainly used for key parts such as door seals, box joints, and refrigeration pipeline interfaces. Its high resilience and cold resistance can eliminate seal gap changes caused by temperature fluctuations, while the FDA food grade certified phenyl silicone can directly contact cold chain stored items, avoiding contamination risks.
