Injection conditions for injection molding liquid silicone rubber

Hits: 895 img

When the injection temperature is 150 ℃ and the injection pressure ranges from 40kg/cm2 to 150 kg/cm2, good results can be achieved. In different situations, different pressures also have an impact on the product. A smaller injection pressure will result in insufficient injection molding, lack of materials, and incomplete products; When the injection pressure is too high, the glue injection process is too fast, causing bubbles in the product due to poor exhaust, which affects the appearance of the product. According to experimental practice, when the injection pressure is generally between 30-60 kg/cm2, the injection process is good, the silicone rubber is evenly distributed in the mold cavity, the exhaust is smooth, and the product yield is high.

In addition, the injection method also has a significant impact on the appearance of the product during injection. If the rubber material is injected all at once, it may cause overflow and affect exhaust, resulting in bubbles in the product and serious difficulty in demolding. To avoid adverse consequences caused by a single injection, a two-stage injection method can be used. The first injection will inject most of the glue into it, and the second injection will inject the remaining glue. This can achieve smooth exhaust and greatly improve the yield of finished products. Generally, two injections are sufficient to meet the requirements, and sometimes three injections can also be used. When injecting multiple times, the injection pressure should also be different, and generally the second injection pressure should be lower.
