The difference between condensed liquid silicone rubber and additive liquid silicone rubber

Hits: 820 img

① Condensation type:
Among the numerous condensed RTV silicone rubber varieties, except for special varieties such as oil resistance, low temperature resistance, and radiation resistance, the vast majority of varieties use raw rubber with various molar masses as the base polymer. Because the vulcanization of condensed RTV silicone rubber relies on the reaction of its terminal hydroxyl groups, the molar mass of the raw rubber directly affects the degree of vulcanization of the elastomer and the density of the cross-linked network.

② Additive molding:
Addition type liquid silicone rubber is an important application of hydrosilylation reaction in the field of silicone rubber vulcanization. Its vulcanization is carried out by using vinyl containing organic polysiloxane as the base polymer and silicon hydrogen bonded organic polysiloxane as the crosslinking agent. In the presence of platinum catalyst, addition crosslinking is carried out at room temperature or heating to form a network structure
