Fluorosilicone rubber, also known as gamma trifluoropropyl methyl polysiloxane, is an organic silicone elastomer modified by side chains. Usually, products made of fluorosilicone rubber not only have the characteristics of ordinary silicone rubber, but also have excellent oil resistance, including fuel, engine oil, chemical reagents, and solvents. Therefore, fluorosilicone rubber effectively compensates for the insufficient oil resistance of ordinary silicone rubber, and can be called the "oil fighter" in organic silicone elastomers.
Due to the excellent oil resistance of fluorosilicone rubber and the heat resistance of its silicone elastomer, this material is particularly suitable for applications that require high temperature and fuel resistance, such as seals, hoses, gaskets, films, and impregnated products. It has a wide range of applications in the automotive industry, aerospace industry, petrochemical industry, and other fields.
