Adding it into the resin can improve the moisture-proof and insulation properties of the resin. Filled in plastic products, it can increase the skid resistance and oil resistance. Filled in silicone resin, it can be made into plastic resistant to more than 200 ℃. It is used as a filler and surface ingredient of paper in the paper industry.

Precipitated silica is a widely used material for rubber reinforcement. Generally speaking, the reinforcement effect of precipitated silica (except for ultra-fine and surface treatment) is not as good as that of carbon black, so it is a semi-reinforcing filler material. Therefore, the percentage of carbon black to be replaced should be determined according to the use situation. Precipitated silica is used in rubber products such as inner and outer tires of automobiles, tippers, trucks, tractors, forklifts, bicycles, industrial belts, rubber hoses, gaskets, rubber plates, threshing rubber rolls for grain processing, and rubber shoes. Adding a certain amount of silica to ordinary tires can improve the service life of tires. According to the research and test results of the tire formula of a former West German company, if 10~20 parts of white carbon black can be added, the adhesion and tear resistance can be improved, the mileage of the tire can be increased, and the grip of the tire on the road can also be enhanced, so as to facilitate safe driving. At present, the requirements of the market for bicycle tyres are also increasingly diversified. For example, fancy new varieties such as colored tire rims and flash rings are produced with white carbon black instead of carbon black. In the production of rubber overshoes, people require not only the fastness of rubber overshoes, rain boots, sports shoes, tourist shoes, fitness shoes, ballet shoes, etc., but also the beautiful color, comfort and portability. White carbon black not only has good reinforcement, wear resistance, anti-skid and vamp adhesion, but also is a good light-color reinforcement material, so it plays an important role in providing the quality and style of rubber shoes in the development of rubber shoes.

White carbon black can be used as filling material in polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutene, epoxy resin and other plastics, which can improve the elastic strength and wear resistance of plastics, as well as the thermal stability of hardness. It can also improve the electrical insulation of the cable when used in the cable. For example, the methyl vinyl silicone rubber high-voltage wire needs to use fumed silica or high-quality precipitated silica. It is often difficult to separate the two layers of plastic film, and the opening of the bag is difficult to open when bagging, so silica is a very useful opening agent. When PVC is used as household floor material, if a certain amount of white carbon black is added, the hardness, elasticity, thermal denaturation and other properties of the product can be improved.
