There are two main production methods of methyl silicone oil: acid balance method and alkali balance method. The acid balance method is suitable for the production of low viscosity silicone oil with a viscosity below 500mm2/s. The method generally uses concentrated sulfuric acid as a catalyst, reacts at 50~60℃, and then washes to remove acid, remove low boiling material, add activated carbon for decolorization, and transition to finished products. The alkali balance rule is suitable for the production of medium and high viscosity silicone oil with a viscosity of more than 100mm2/s.
