The composite material made of liquid silicone rubber as insulating matrix and nano conductive carbon black particles as filling material has excellent conductive properties. The resistivity of the composite material with different carbon black content has been obtained through experimental tests. When the mass fraction of carbon black is greater than 4%, better conductivity can be obtained. Zou Rui et al. used vinyl liquid silicone rubber as matrix and nickel-plated graphite as conductive filler to prepare conductive silicone rubber, and found that the volume resistivity of the composite can be reduced to less than 0.1Ω·cm when the amount of nickel-plated graphite is 280 parts.


Additive liquid silicone rubber is widely used in electronic and electrical industry because of its good thermal stability and thermal conductivity. As the heat dissipation material of electronic devices, the liquid silicone rubber can effectively transfer heat, improve heat dissipation, and extend the service life of electronic devices. However, the thermal conductivity of the additive liquid silicone rubber without adding thermal conductivity additives is very small and can not be produced in industry. Commonly used thermal conductivity additives are Ag, Cu, Ca, Al2O3, AlN, BN and so on. The type, content, particle distribution and surface modification of thermal conductivity additives can affect the thermal conductivity of liquid silicone rubber.
