In order to further improve the properties of the powder, high molecular weight DPMS (dimethylpolysiloxane) is currently used to treat the surface of the powder. The powder has excellent hydrophobicity and high persistence, good makeup, good sense of skin closeness, moderate viscosity, and good workability. A new powder treatment method has been developed successfully in recent years. The new method is to contact cyclic methylhydropolysiloxane with the powder under normal pressure below 100 ℃. Due to the catalytic activity of the surface of the powder, polymerization reaction can be generated to form a network polymer, resulting in the formation of a superthin film on the surface of the powder, which can introduce functional groups by addition reaction. If the introduced functional group is alkyl, the hydrophobic powder is formed. If it is hydroxyl group and polyoxyethylene group, hydrophilic powder is generated.
