Reasons for distortion of sealing ring O-ring:
1. The clearance between piston, piston rod and cylinder barrel is uneven;
2. The section diameter of O-ring is uneven;
3. The friction force on the O-ring is uneven.
Methods to prevent the O-ring from being twisted and damaged:
1. The section size of rubber O-ring shall be uniform, and the sealing part shall be fully coated with lubricating oil or grease during each installation.
2. Increase the section diameter of the rubber O-ring. The section diameter of the O-ring for dynamic sealing should generally be larger than that of the rubber O-ring for static sealing. In addition, the rubber O-ring should not be used as a seal for large-diameter pistons.
3. The concentricity of the installation groove of rubber O-ring should be considered from two aspects: convenient processing and no distortion.
4. When distortion damage occurs under low pressure, seal ring can be used to protect the retaining ring.
5. The rubber O-ring can be replaced by a sealing ring that is not prone to distortion.
6. The O-ring is made of materials with low friction coefficient.
7. Reduce the surface roughness of cylinder barrel and piston rod.
