Use of medical liquid silicone rubber

Medical liquid silica gel is also known as two-component room temperature vulcanized addition silica gel. Both components A and B of silica gel are flowable liquids, of which component B contains platinum catalyst or other additives, which can be cured at room temperature or heating after mixing the two components. It can be used in the following aspects:

1. Manufacturing of precision molds such as metal artwork and alloy vehicle;
2. Molding of epoxy resin, polyester resin, polystyrene, vinyl plastic, paraffin and other materials;
3. Mold manufacturing of large cement components, cultural stones, concrete, precision parts, FRP products and other products;
4. Design, manufacture and rapid prototyping design of high-precision prototype.
5. Dental mold making, medical products making, silicone wax figures, silicone dolls, silicone products, silicone parts, silicone seals, silicone chips and other silicone products and mold making.

 Characteristics of medical liquid silicone rubber

1. It is not limited by product thickness, and can be deeply vulcanized;
2. Shrinkage is less than one thousandth, low molecules are not released during crosslinking, and the products copied are of high accuracy;
3. It has excellent chemical corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance, which can reach 300 ℃;
4. Food grade, non-toxic and tasteless, FDA food certification;
5. High tensile strength, high tear resistance, many times of mold turnover, not easy to deform;
6. Good fluidity, easy to pour, can be cured at room temperature or by heating, and easy to operate.

Fabrication method of silicone rubber mold

1. Prepare a container, a mixer or a mixing bar, for example: use two appliances with the same capacity to measure the two components, component A and component B, in the same container in the same amount, and then pour the two gums, A and B, into the same large container to stir evenly. The appearance of the mold silica gel is flowing liquid, component A is silica gel with curing component, and component B is silica gel.
2. It is better to use a vacuum machine to vacuum the stirred silica gel
3. Pouring or brushing operation process: pour silica gel on the product by pouring or brushing the silica gel that has been evacuated and drained of bubbles.

Precautions for use of medical liquid silicone rubber

The proportion of medical liquid silica gel is 1:1. During the use of the addition molding silica gel, attention should be paid to: do not touch the condensed silica gel, otherwise the silica gel will not solidify.
