Dream of Nannong
Spring is coming, unconsciously, we are about to usher in the third "Zhongshan International Youth Scholars forum". Back then last year, I was also standing at the crossroads of life, at a struggling age, facing choices about the future. Looking forward to, excited, hesitant, confused, with these complex feelings, I participated in the second "Zhongshan International Youth Scholars forum".
During the forum, leaders of the University introduced the establishment of the Department, discipline construction, scientific research platform, personnel training, international cooperation and other aspects, which made me have a relatively comprehensive understanding of Nanjing Agricultural University, a key university characterized by agriculture and life science and coordinated development of engineering, science, culture and law disciplines; the personnel department has a relatively comprehensive understanding of title evaluation, laboratory construction, employment period treatment, and master's degree The detailed interpretation of the policies such as the enrollment of Bo made me have a clear understanding of the policy of talent introduction of Nannong. At the same time, it gradually calmed my anxiety about my first job search. The sub forum of the Department further answered all kinds of puzzles in my heart. Whether Professor Wang Xiaomin, Dean of the Institute of technology, gives a comprehensive and key explanation, or the staff of the personnel department communicate patiently and meticulously, it fully reflects Nannong's attention to talents and the determination to introduce talents. In view of this, I was deeply moved by Nannong. At the end of the forum, I signed a high-level intentional agreement to introduce talents. In June, I became a member of Nannong after the end of foreign scientific research life.
The Institute of technology that I joined welcomed me as a new member who knew little about agriculture with an inclusive and open attitude. From the establishment of the experimental platform, the initial orientation of scientific research, team building, to the purchase of instruments, reimbursement, transportation and other small things, the leaders of the Institute, the department head, as well as the leaders, teachers of the human resources department, scientific research department, and colleagues of the teaching and research office all gave me great support. I'm very glad to have their guidance and help in this crucial year of trying to realize the transformation from students to teachers, which makes me quickly find a sense of belonging.

In the spring of 2019, my postdoctoral career in Singapore is coming to an end, and I began to consider returning to China to find a teaching post. While browsing the recruitment information, it coincided with the "second Zhongshan International Youth Scholars forum" held by Nanjing Agricultural University, which started my relationship with Nannong.
During the reception and participation of the forum, the talent office and the College of Nanjing University of agriculture provided meticulous services and various details to show the sincerity of Nanjing Agricultural University. During the forum, the school leaders introduced various talent introduction policies in detail, which made me deeply feel that the school attaches great importance to the introduction of talents. On the sub forum, through the in-depth exchanges with Professor Jiang Jiandong, Dean of the College of life sciences, and the visit to the scientific research platform of the college after the meeting, I have deepened my understanding of Nannong, a strange environment. At the end of the forum, Nannong also became my favorite work unit, and I soon signed a high-level intention to introduce talents agreement.
In November 2019, I finished my overseas scientific research and formally joined Nanjing Agricultural University, becoming a member of the College of life sciences. After entering the post, President Jiang Jiandong and teachers of the college actively helped us with team building, which not only provided us with independent laboratory space, but also supported me to introduce an associate professor to join the scientific research team in January 2020, and assisted in graduate enrollment. The good research atmosphere and academic environment of life science college enable us to devote ourselves to the research work. In addition, the college and the school also have a group of like-minded young colleagues who work together to help each other in work and life.
With my short story of job hunting, I would like to say a word to the young talents who are looking for jobs. Warmly welcome the aspiring young people to gather in Zhongshan, feel and understand Nannong, and look forward to our becoming colleagues. Speaking of my relationship with Nannong, it dates back to may 2019. I was honored to be invited to attend the second "Zhongshan International Young Scholars forum" of Nanjing Agricultural University. It was my first formal meeting with Nannong. Although it was my first meeting, I fell in love with Nannong at first sight and was deeply attracted by her sincere and industrious spirit of Nannong. The closer you feel her cultural heritage and listen to her wonderful chapter, the more you will be able to strengthen your faith and determination to take root in Nannong and serve Nannong.
One year later, I still remember the sincerity and enthusiasm of all the staff of the school, college and the personnel department of the forum. During the sub forum, Professor Zou Jianwen, Dean of the school of resources and Environmental Sciences, answered and explained one by one the most concerned questions about the young talents just out of the campus, such as the general situation of the school, talent introduction policy, research platform, employment period treatment, etc.; in addition, the talent office invited the academic leaders and young outstanding talents to present their stories, and described their indissoluble relationship with Nannong The fighting spirit, passion, youth and vitality brought by Nannong. In December 2019, after returning to China, I formally joined the family of Nannong resources and environment science college. In the past six months, I deeply felt the help and support of leaders at all levels of the school and the college as well as all teachers to a new teacher who has no chance to learn from Nannong, making me more firm in my choice and full of vision for the future.
Finally, to you who are facing a choice: give Nannong a chance, give yourself a choice. You will fall in love with the ancient capital of Nanjing, where Zhong lingyuxiu is located, and Nannong, who has a sincere and diligent spirit and strong scientific research strength.

In May 2019, I was honored to participate in the second "Zhongshan International Young Scholars forum" of Nanjing Agricultural University, and signed a contract successfully. After one year's employment, I am very satisfied with my original choice. First of all, I can clearly feel the school's concern and attention to young teachers, such as the preferential support in scientific research funding and talent policy. At the same time, Professor Wang Yuanchao, Dean of the school of plant protection, who joined us, attaches great importance to the development of young teachers. The school has established a young teacher development committee and regularly launched a young teacher development forum. We invite the excellent seniors of the college as development tutors to solve various problems encountered in their own development, scientific research and life for young teachers according to their own experience, such as how to carry out research in combination with the national development needs, how to integrate into the research group, and how to balance work and life in more detail. Every time we participate in the forum, we get a lot.
The two teachers, Hong Xiaoyue and Li Yuanxi, who joined the research group of our institute, fully supported me to engage in the research direction of interest and gave me all kinds of care and help, so that I could quickly integrate into the research work of the research group. At this stage of my master's degree, I didn't have the background of nannongxue, but I got a good platform and a suitable opportunity in Nannong, which enabled me to engage in the scientific research of my own interest in combination with the actual needs of agriculture. This is a very happy and gratifying thing for me to look back one year after I joined Nannong. In addition, Nannong is not only beautiful, but also close to Zhongshan scenic spot. After work, my family and I often go for a walk, exercise and relieve stress, which is also a little lucky in our life.
