   ①Silicone oil is the abbreviation of dimethyl silicone oil or polydimethylsiloxane. It is a colorless and transparent viscous liquid with an average relative molecular mass of about 5,000 to 100,000, a viscosity of 0.65 to 60,000 mPa·s, and a long-term use temperature of -50 to 180°C.

   Dimethicone is widely used as a release agent for various materials such as plastics. It has excellent high and low temperature resistance, light transmission, electrical properties, hydrophobicity, moisture resistance and chemical stability. It is generally used for high temperature operation release of large moldings, such as phenolic resin and unsaturated polyester laminates. In order to meet different needs, silicone oil is usually processed into different forms such as solution, emulsion and silicone paste.

   a. Solution. Dissolve silicone oil in carbon tetrachloride, toluene or xylene to prepare a solution with a concentration of 0.5% to 2%. Suitable for use at 60~110℃.

   b. Emulsion. It is prepared from silicone oil, emulsifier and water, and is diluted to 0.5% to 2% when used. It is suitable for processing temperature above 120℃ and products with complex shapes.

   c. Silicon paste. It is smelted from silicone oil and ultra-fine silica. Good heat resistance, suitable for products with large surface area, smooth and simple shape.

   ②Methyl phenyl silicone oil The full name of methyl phenyl silicone oil is polymethyl phenyl siloxane, which is colorless or light yellow oily liquid. The relative density is 1.00 to 1.11 (23°C). Physical properties vary with composition and molecular weight. With the increase of phenyl content, the density and refractive index increase; the freezing point of silicone oil with low phenyl content is lower than -70 °C; the thermal stability of medium and high phenyl content silicone oil It is greatly improved, the oxidation stability is also greatly improved, and it also has good radiation resistance.

   Can be used as a variety of lubricants and release agents. Lubricity, high temperature resistance and radiation resistance are better than dimethyl silicone oil.
